Warfarin/Coumadin: stop 1 week before, only as directed by the prescribing clinician.
Clopidogrel/Plavix: stop 4 days before, only as directed.
Rivaroxaban/Xarelto, Apixaban/Eliquis, or Dabigatran/Pradaxa: the sheet says stop 2 days before; verify with the prescriber.
Iron pills: stop 1 week before.
Avoid small grains, nuts, and seeds for 7 days before the procedure.
Call the clinic urgently if you are unsure about blood thinners, diabetes medicines, insulin, kidney or heart conditions, or the fasting time.
